Braided

Today I practiced making a sort of cornrowbraid! I think it's so pretty but I haven't had the patience to try it on myself so much. On my third attempt, it turned out good enough.

I also took some pictures for my resumé/CV while I was at it.
My other one is sort of old now and I don't want people to be confused who I am when I do get an interview. ;)

I will use one of those.
Feel free to give me advice on which one looks most "relaxed" so to say!

It feels so weird and uncomfortable to take CV pictures, haha!  How do you do when you do it? :) Or do you just use a picture you took for another purpose?

  1. Oh, that looks beautiful. I never manage to realize those braids, that lie flat on the skull, so I am a little envious. :-)
I like the second picture more, but I would take the photos in front of a white wall, the Coca-Cola-poster is too much of a backgrund for my taste. It should be a portrait of you and nothing else.
And I love your necklace! So cute.

    1. Thanks :D It was very hard actually, I feel like I need three hands to get it as I want, but I hope a little more practise will help ^^

I tried several places in the house and this was the best place for the light. The rooms with white walls is so dark! Next time I will ask my sister to take the pictures though, she has a better camera and also skills, haha!

  2. Superfint!

Ps.

  3. Very pretty- I'm impressed! I agree about using a white background for your CV picture, and for a professional look, I'd avoid dangling earrings (although I love the Spanish-flair of yours!).

    1. Thank you :D
I tried several places in the house and this was the best place for the light. They will just have to live with the coca-cola in the background, haha.

I dont wanna be any other then myself though and I think it's wrong to take away accessories I love just to look more professional on a picture, because when I go on interviews I always look like I ordinary do.

  4. I love the braid, those are so hard to do, adding the hair as you go! Argh!

The second picture is better because your head is more straight towards the camera so you look like you are engaging with the viewer.

      Thanks for the opinion :D

  6. Wow, beautiful! I've been trying to braid my entire ponytail like this, but I've never maanaged...maybe I should try making a sidebraid...it's so pretty! :D

As for the CV pictures, I like the second shot more, but I'd also recommend to use a white or any plain backdrop and avoid salien hairdos and jewellery.
At the moment, I'm using the cropped version of this photo (: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-yp3u2h8zQWU/UaYz1iIOmRI/AAAAAAAAGAg/V6WX_trfbGQ/s1600/_IGP9254.JPG and before I used this (: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Ano3h1tvKKc/UOQyz00X4OI/AAAAAAAAFUI/haYOY5h5lD0/s1600/_IGP7047.JPG

None of the two are typical CV shots, I know, but whenever I tried to take a piture of my from the front, it looked terrible...:D

    1. Try it :D there is great tutorials on youtube luckily.

Honestly, I must say I dont understand the point of avoiding accessories and earrings on the cv picture! Why would I want to show them something that's not me at all?

I usually just use one of my random photos as well but I thought I try take a clear picture from my front this time :'D and I have black hair on my old one so.
