Gothidays 7, Our weddinganniversary

Today my husband and I celebrate 2 years as married. :D 

We chose to marry this date because of my huge love of christmas and also because it was friday 13-th that day. Tomorrow we also celebrate 11 years together, 

So today I wanna share some photos from our wedding. We had a gothic christmaswedding and it was so wonderful and awesome!

We had a alcoholfreewedding and the guests had instead a swedish tradition called "must" to drink at the buffé. ^_^

We even had a little santa!

I'm so happy with how the day was, and I think december is a great time to get married, sadly we didn't get any snow day though.

10 years

December 14, 2004, I was 16 years old and fell in love with the person I now have loved for 10 years and got married a year ago, 13 December 2013.
Today we celebrate our first wedding anniversary and tomorrow we celebrate 10 years together, so I really would like to take the opportunity to tell you how we met. :)

In August 2004, I met a sweet and nerdy boy in our schools dining hall. He was sitting diagonally across from me and had the most beautiful blue eyes I've had ever seen. He was looking at me so intense that I became very shy. He asked me my name but I said it so quietly that he did not hear it. After that we didn't see each other for a while. Life went on, I had a boyfriend but it didn't work out, and I thought about the boy with the eyes from time to time. In my head his name was Stuart, haha.

The odds that we would run into each other again was not good because the buildings our programs were in was soooo far away from each other. Like, different sides of campus. At the end of November 2004  my best friend in the class fell in love with a person so she dragged me with her to where he studied. When we came in,  I recognized Mattias immediately. Lucky me, he was friends and classmates with the person my friend was into! :D  I still thought he was so cute so I was not going to lay low this time.  I immediately began to joke and "funmess" with him. He had a lot of Wheel of Time books on his workbench which I started to read aloud from with funny voices. I also made an attempt to sit on his lap, which he became quite frightened of. :'D
There was a risk that he would have thought I was insane for this but, but we started hanging out more and more! We  ate lunch together, met between classes and texted a lot. He was certainly the funniest guy I had ever met and I had never felt so comfortable in a boy's companion before. Just by looking at me, he made me feel special and beautiful.
There was a problem though.. there was another boy which I became friends with a few weeks earlier, and he had shown interest from the very beginning, I hated the thought of choosing because it would make one of them sad. So even though I knew who I wanted to be with , on December the 14th when I woke up, I decided to tell them both that I wouldn't start a "lovestory" with either of them.
So Mattias came to my home later that day because we would exchange christmaspresents before christmasbreak. My heart hurted, because I did not want to just be friends with him.
So my plan immediately went up in smoke. He was so lovely so I couldn't even bring it up. I really could not imagine being without this amazing person for one more day, so that night we had our first kiss and today I am still very very happy with my decision! <3

Far longer than forever!

Honeymoon in Estonia

Last week we finally went on our "honeymoon"! 

We went to Tallinn in Estonia because the city has so many medieval houses and buildings that we wanted to experience.

It was the first time I was flying but it went really well, it was so exciting and fun to look at the world through the window of the plane at the landing and takeoff!

We stayed Hotel St. petersbourg and the staff there were so incredibly accommodating! Every time we went to the lobby the receptionist stood up greeting us so we felt very royal, haha!

The first night we ordered pizza to the room because sadly Mattias was feverish and had a cold, we thought we could share one and were surprised when the smallest pizza we've ever seen before arrived. O.o 

We ate dinner at Oldehansa on Wednesday evening and it was epic. Everything in the restaurant is medieval , even the food, it felt sort of like being on a larp and there was even a band that played medieval music!

Unfortunately, I had by then become infected by Mattias flu so I felt half dead all night. :(

Despite our illness we went for sightseeing on Thursday and of course wanted up on this wall!

We strolled the 258 steps up in the 124-meter high St. Olav's Church. All people we met in the stairs was breathing so strenuous that we felt incredibly gracious because we both had snotty noses but still had it easier xD

Frankly, our view looked like this the majority of days on the honeymoon due to the extreme cold with fever and cough. What luck that the hotel had Cartoon Network to watch, haha! We had certainly enjoyed our trip to Tallinn more if we both had been healthy, but we did get to cuddle a lot so it was not a wasted trip. ^^

We bought nothing except some candy and souvenirs for the family and this refrigerator magnet we bought for ourselves :)

We served a christmasdinner that me and my sister worked our asses off with the day before. I was so worried that the food would run out, but we had leftovers for days xD

All the guests got assignments under their plates to do. Ylwa got to wipe the person next to her with a napkin, haha.

All the dancing was so much fun! I wan't to go back in time and do it again. :D

I think this last picture really represents the party, so crazy and so much fun! It was the best night in my life thanks to our friends and everyone who helped us so much during the day! <3
