I'm alive!

The night before I was hit with the wonderful stomach flue! First time in six whole years, so I was beginning to hope that my body was immune to this crap! I almost thought I was dying, my body is bad at managing to vomit, I get anxious and think I'll choke all the time.

So I spent yesterday half asleep with soda, water, and fruitsoup close to hand.

I seriously don't understand how people who live alone manage when they are as sick as I was
!
If Mattias didn't had gone shopping I wouldn't have had anything to eat that is good for the stomach. He was so helpful and sweet and took care of me <3

Anyway. Few things make you appreciate life as stomach flu does. This night I slept aaaall night long and woke up without feeling nauseas with just a little headache and life feels wonderful xD

I'll make a blueberry smoothie and then I will watch tv-series all day and try to gain some strength back.

  1. I'm sorry you were sick! I hope you're better now. I know how awful that is, I have ibs and all sort of similar diseases, so I'm quite used to that kind of stuff °_° you should eat vegetables (cooked), white meat, fruit and hot beverages. But whatever you eat, if it's just a flu it'll pass in a few days, so I guess you can eat pretty much whatever you want XD

    1. Thank you, I feel much better today ^^

Oh really? :O I have had problems with my stomach for 5 years but the doctors can't find any problems and keep telling me "it's just stress or something", but according to everything I have read online it behaves like I also have IBS, because when I stopped eating stuff that people with IBS shouldn't eat it started to hurt less. Are you diagnosed with IBS?

    2. Omg you too? They tell me the exact same thing. "It's just stress/anxiety, relax!" Well, thank you, but if I was able to "relax" I wouldn't have developed ibs in the first place -.- and I'd had minor problems for years before they finally diagnosed me (when the disease had already become severe). Insist and talk to some other doctor, until you find someone who helps you, I did it and eventually I found a doctor who made me do the rights exams and found out exactly what I had.

Yes I was diagnosed with ibs (actually, ibs, gastritis and 5 intolerances), and the best suggestion I can give you is to do the test for intolerances, 'cause maybe you don't have ibs, but you just have some particular food that isn't good for your stomach: if that's your case, you just have to stop eating that for a while and then you should be good.
Ibs is not really about food though, even though there are food that could make things worse; it's about your psychological state. There were times when all I ate was camomile and rice and I still couldn't get out of my house; now that I've graduated, I can eat pretty much anything and nothing happens... maybe something's stressing you or causing you gried; you should think about that. (*And* take the right meds)

    3. Yes doctors can be very stupid. I was 18 when I started to get problems and I lost 11 kilograms (24 pound) in a week, but they still told me that I seem to do fine =.= nowadays I'm a lot better though since I cut down on carbs, I dont eat any milkproducts at all and avoid too spicy stuff.
Oh I have been there, there was a time I lived on crispbread and black currant soup because my stomach hurted so much if I ate something else.
I agree with you, stress can be a part because it's gets much worse when I have plans on going somewhere. I hope to one day be able to live as a totally normal humanbeing again who doesn't have to think about my stomach everytime I eat at a restaurant or going for a little trip. :P

    4. 11 kilograms IN A WEEK? It's a lot even in a year!
Well, judging from what you're telling me, you sure as hell need to get some medication. 'cause these diseases may origin from the mind, but they end up hurting your body, and your body needs to be taken care of. Tell that to your doctor, because the more your bowel/stomach is irritated, the less it will be able to absorb food and the more trouble it's going to give you.
Wow, I so hear you, it's horrible to not be able to go out 'cause who knows what might happen, or to have to give up holidays and stuff like that. I watch other people around me eating whatever they want and never feeling sick, and go wherever they want without a care in the world... you do feel like an alien sometimes.
All I can say to you is that it can get better, but you must a)find the right cure for your body specifically and b)find what's stressing you so much and face the problem.
You're not anxious because you have to go out: that's just the consequence of knowing that you may feel bad. There' a deepest reason why it all started; once you find it and you solve the problem, your health problems will probably disappear on themselves :)

    5. Yes but that was before I realized my stomach couldn't handle milk :P so after I quit using those products it got like 50% better than the first month.

I'm pretty sure why it became like this because that was not a good part of my life when it all began..so I guess the reason why it's still this bad has a lot to do with the physical.
The doctors can't find any problems that are "seeable" or what I should call it.

Since I can eat very good and take my time and don't have to get up very early in the mornings when I'm unemployed my stomach has been better than the last 5 years, so I'll guess I have to wait and watch what happens when I get a job :P

  2. Åh fyfan, tur att du känner dig mycket bättre redan! :)
