Devils

Darling and I went on a late Halloweenparty last saturday :) Since it was a jobday for me, we couldn't put to much efford on the outfits, we just wanted to get quickly to the party, so we decided to go as devils!

It was such a fun party with games and Subway sandwishes! <3

Made me more excited for our weddngparty, I really want to come up with some dance-games to push people out on the dancefloor, do you have any tips on that matter? :)

  1. The costumes look fantastic, even if they were last minute! I think you put effort into them on short notice than I've ever done for something I've had a long time to prepare for! :o)

In Canada, we get people on the dance floor with the Chicken Dance. When you hear that horrible music, I defy anyone to sit in thier chair and not get up and dance! And laugh, because it's so ridiculous. :D

Here's a link to one of the funnier ones I've seen ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UV3kRV46Zs

  3. Aw, you look adorable (and very funny, ahahah).
I would go for something like "prize to the craziest dancer contest" or somsthing of the kind. I am sure it will guarantee some fun :)

  4. I really do love that red and black dress of yours!

Have you heard of dance offs, where people take turns to dance and compete to see who is the best?

    1. It's a huge favourite <3

Yes I have, not sure if it would suit this crowd we have invited though, maybe people are to shy, an idea would be to pair up though?! :P

  5. I went to a vintage themed wedding where they had swing dance instructors. They would work with you a bit while the cocktail hour was going on. By the time they got to the after dinner dancing, people were really willing to get up an dance.
BTW - thanks Insomniac - now I have the chicken dance going through my head at 3x the speed it should be!

  6. I am glad you had nice time at the party. You both look cute as devils. I have no idea about wedding planning and games for the same. May be you could have some kind of competition for guests to try to dance according to different countries, like Greece, Russia, Norway, America, and so on. Something like folk dance, and then give prizes.

  7. Ah, nice, I love those derpy - cute faces! :D

Well, I don't know any dance games for weddings, but in Hungary we do something called 'bride dance' when people take turns to dance with the bride while the groom is collecting money in a hat or something; if you pay, you can take over and dance with her until someone else comes...aside from it's original purpose to collect some money, it's a good way to get people to the dancefloor because everyone wants to do this and then they're just stuck there dancing with some other guests...:)
Guys can even try to steal the bride and try to run away with her...:D

Oh my that sounds scary for me who have trouble "touching" other people, even if it's only a hug :'D I'll probably stick to my husband most of the dances xD

  8. Jag tycker ni är supersnygga :D
En danstävling där den med mest originell dans vinner något fint pris.

  9. You were both lovely :D! And what a cute dress you were wearing *_* I'm glad you eventually made it to a party :)
Unfortunately I can't help you with your problem, but the best way to get people on the dancefloor is catchy tunes! You shold try with the classics that everybody knows and that are easy to dance on. It usually works ^^!
