Enough is enough

Hello there everyone!
Long time no see, again!
I miss blogging! And I miss reading blogs as well :( But wow, my life right now.
It is an understatement to say that I got in over my head when I changed my job in February as I have said earlier..
I've never had so little time for the things I love to do. The days are so long! And on days off, I'm terribly tired because of stress and anxiety because of everything at he job.

But! This post is not supposed to be sad. :D Because I have resigned!

I got an offer to work at a bakery for summer, and even though it's only until September, my husband said that I should  leave that awful job and go for my dream job instead. I'm so thankful. It feels like it will be the world's best summer! Bake bread, cakes and pastries, early days instead of now when I I'm not home until after 6 every evening. I really want to take advantage of this summer, spending time with those I love, bathe and resume  lots of reading!

I do know that people will judge me about this, maybe even call me lazy and stupid for leaving a job without knowing anything for the future, but right know I will just focus on my relief about quitting, and think about my amazing summerjob :D It's 4 years since I got the opportunity to work with cakes and pastrys so I'm so filled of joy over this!

I found this quote the same day I decided to quit, and I think it sums it up so well!

I hope everyone who reads this will have a great summer too, I also have a plan to blog more of course!

Here are som pictures from last month I thought I would share ^__^

  1. Yes! I am proud of you! Move away from what makes you unhappy to what makes you happy! My past work unhappiness made me so sick! It's not worth it!

  2. Those people who call you lazy, probably have neved had such a soul sucking job and they simply don't understand your situation...You spend one third of your life at your job, so it better be good. You did the right thing and I'm happy for you. Last week I resigned from my job too...:)

    1. True, but many people do anything for the money. :/ Thank you, I actually though of you when I resigned after reading your post. A part of me thought, if she dared, I dare too :'D

  3. I did something similar 2 years ago, and it was such a relief. I am now slowly building up my writing career and while I don't make a huge amount of money I do get so much more satisfaction from it - and not being tied to the corporate wheel. Enjoy your summer, read those books and bake your soul food. Be happy.

  4. Hi Lesthi, I just wanted to say that I have been following your blog for over a year (I am one of the silent readers that never comments!) but I felt the need to say you should not feel lazy or bad about quitting. Life is too short to be unhappy and anxious. Stress does more damage to our minds and bodies than we know. You are taking good care of yourself. I want you to be happy! I think you are a very sweet person and enjoy your blog posts very much. Good luck with this new pursuit in life.

    1. You have no idea how happy your comment made me! <3 It was so sweet and caring and really made my day. I hope you continue following my blog, I know it's hard to find the time to comment on everything I'm really bad at it as well, haha! Thank you again ^_^
